Trosglwyddiadau Canol Blwyddyn / In year transfers

Gan gwefan cyngor Wrecsam / From Wrexham Council Website;

'Mae trosglwyddiadau fel arfer yn digwydd ar ddechrau pob tymor. Dim ond mewn amgylchiadau eithriadol y bydd trosglwyddiad ar unrhyw adeg arall. Ni ddylai trosglwyddiad gymryd mwy na 15 diwrnod ysgol i’w brosesu. Serch hynny, pan fo materion arwyddocaol yn berthnasol i’r plentyn/symud, fel anghenion dysgu ychwanegol, fe allai’r trosglwyddiad gymryd ychydig yn hirach, er mwyn sicrhau bod darpariaeth briodol ar gael. Rhaid i ddisgyblion aros yn yr ysgol tra mae’r cais am drosglwyddiad yn cael ei brosesu.

Rydym ni (fel awdurdod derbyniadau lleol Wrecsam) yn barod i ystyried ceisiadau am drosglwyddiadau rhwng ysgolion y tu allan i’r cyfnodau derbyn arferol pan fo hynny er budd gorau’r  plentyn/plant. Fodd bynnag, ystyrir Blynyddoedd 10 ac 11 mewn ysgol uwchradd yn ‘gwrs 2 flynedd’. O ganlyniad, mae ceisiadau i drosglwyddo i ysgol arall yn Wrecsam, ar ôl Blwyddyn 9 yn aml yn cael effaith negyddol ar gynnydd academaidd disgyblion ac efallai na fydd yr Awdurdod Lleol yn ystyried bod symud yn briodol.

Fel cam cyntaf, cynghorir rhieni sy’n gofyn am drosglwyddo y tu allan i’r cyfnodau trosglwyddo arferol i drafod cynnydd eu plentyn ac unrhyw broblemau gyda phennaeth ysgol bresennol y plentyn. Ar ôl y trafodaethau hyn, dylai rhieni sy’n dal yn dymuno trosglwyddo gysylltu a ni (fel yr awdurdod derbyniadau lleol) yn Admissions@wrexham.gov.uk. Bydd y cais am drosglwyddo’n cael ei ystyried yng nghyd-destun Polisi Derbyn yr Awdurdod Lleol. Os na yw cais i drosglwyddo yn llwyddiannus, mae gan rieni hawl i apelio yn erbyn y penderfyniad (nid yw'r hawl i apelio yn berthnasol gyda derbyniadau i ddosbarthiadau meithrin).

As a rule transfers normally take place at the beginning of each term, only in exceptional circumstances will a transfer take place at any other time. A transfer should not take longer than 15 school days to process. However, where there are significant issues such as additional learning needs the transfer request may take longer, in order to ensure appropriate provision is in place. Pupils must remain in school while the transfer request is being processed.

We (as Wrexham’s local admissions authority) are prepared to consider requests for transfers between schools other than at normal admission times when it is in the best interests of the child(ren). However, Years 10 and 11 in a secondary school are considered to be a ‘2 year course’ consequently transfer requests to another school within Wrexham, after Year 9, often have a negative impact on pupils’ academic progress and may not considered as appropriate moves.

Parents seeking transfer other than at the normal transition times are advised as a first step, to discuss their child’s progress and any issues with the headteacher of the child’s present school. Following these discussions, parents who still wish to seek a transfer, should contact us (as the local admissions authority) at Admissions@wrexham.gov.uk. The transfer request will be considered within the context of our local authority admissions policy. If a transfer request is not successful, parents are entitled to appeal against the decision (the right to appeal does not apply at nursery stage).'
